CGC TESTING

Bring to the Test:
1. Proof of current rabies certificate required at time of registration.
2. A brush or comb for your dog.
3. Testing fee, $10.00

Additional Information for CGC Handlers:
1. Dogs should wear well-fitting buckle or slip collars made of leather, fabric, or chain.
2. Dogs should be on a six-foot lead. No flexi leads allowed.
3. No food or bait is allowed during the test.
4. Exercise your dogs prior to your test. Elimination in the ring is non-qualifying.
5. Dogs will be observed beginning as soon as they are at the testing site and not just when  in the testing ring.
6. You may talk to your dog at all times. This is not an obedience test.
7. Use loose lead on all class.
8. You may repeat commands as often as necessary.
9. No major lead corrections permitted.
10. This is a team testing, not just the dog.

EYE CLINIC

Dr Maxwell will perform eye examinations to detect inherited eye diseases such as cataracts, progressive retinal atrophy (PRA) & retinal dysphasia. The examination is quick & painless & is required for registration by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF). As eye drops are applied to dilate pupils, it is recommended that the examination be performed after your dog has completed judging. The effect of the eye drops lasts about three hours.
